My name is Christina and I have been living with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) since the age of 3. I've had several joint replacements including both hips, left knee and left shoulder. Through it all, I managed to finish college and meet the love of my life. We married in August 2008 and are the proud parents of a son and daughter.
I decided to start this journal because I realized how few resources there are for women living with JRA and especially for those who are trying to get pregnant. There's always the yearly AJAO conference and visits to your Rheumatologist, but at the end of the day, it's rare to find any real information on living with JRA, let alone what to expect when you are trying to get pregnant. So by writing this journal I hope to share my experiences, maybe help someone out there in a similar situation, and perhaps learn a little from others as well.
