I've been memed...

So when Mariah over at From This Point. Forward. left me a note letting me know I'd been "memed," I had no clue what she was talking about. I'm still pretty new to the whole blogging experience, so I did a little research I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Mariah had awarded me the Liebster Blog Award...so sweet of her! :)

Liebster essential means: "sweetheart, beloved person, darling adj. dear, darling; beloved, liked very much; affectionate, loving adj. favorite, preferred above other; liked or loved by others."

Who wouldn't be flattered to find out that someone thinks what you're doing is so great! Especially when it's about something so personal.

So here are the rules of the Liebster Award:

  1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
  2. Link back to the Blogger (or Bloggers) who awarded you.
  3. Answer the follow questions, down below.
  4. Pass this award out and recognize other Bloggers letting them know that you love them.
First off, a big thank you to Mariah over at From This Point. Forward. for giving me this award. I've appreciated your support and kind words more than you may know.

Now on to the questions...

Favorite color: It may sound lame, but this is a tough question for me. I majored in Animation and
Illustration in college, so I LOVE color in general! If I had to pick one though...I guess I tend to
navigate towards green. And red and blue...hee hee

Favorite animal: I love pandas and dolphins. Pandas are just so mellow and relaxed, but dolphins
always seem so happy and playful.

Favorite number: I've always liked the number 3, but ever since I've been with my husband, we've
noticed the number 24 always seems to pop up. It's the day of our anniversary, the number of our
first apartment, the hotel room for our honeymoon...so maybe it's a lucky number for us.

Favorite drink: Lately it has been lemonade! Strawberry, regular, I don't care, I just want lemonade!

Facebook or Twitter? Facebook for sure...I've never even used Twitter. Don't really see the point of
it. I don't have anything interesting enough to Tweet about and don't feel like getting a text message
every time someone else thinks they do. I sound like an old lady right now. lol

Passion? My family and friends. They've gotten me through so much in my life and I don't think I
could have made it this far in life without them.

Getting or giving presents? I love giving a present that someone absolutely loves! But, I'm not going
to lie and say I don't like getting them from time to time either. :)

Favorite day: I love Christmas time. It's the one time of the year that I get to see my entire family and
we just relax, eat yummy food and take the time to catch up.

Favorite flower: Dark red Gerbera Daisies! I used them in my bouquet for my wedding and I love
them! They feel like such a happy flower to me. They always put a smile on my face.

So now on to the tagging. According to the original rules that Mariah posted, you are supposed to tag 10 bloggers who have 20 or fewer followers. Sounds great, but I only really follow one blogger and that's Mariah! Ugh. So instead I figured I'd list a few sites that have helped me along the way in my own blogging experience.

First off, I have to tag Mariah at From This Point. Forward. who gave me the award in the first
place. I swear I'm not trying to win points or anything, I truly admire how open and honest she is in her own blog and how passionate she is about educating people about RA by sharing her own experiences with the disease.

Secondly, I would have to give some love to Niki Wyre at RA Chicks: Women with Rheumatoid Arthritis (found on Facebook) and RA Chicks Never Give Up!. Her Facebook page has become a place for thousands of women to vent and find support for their RA...and we can all use a little of that from time to time. Her website RA Chicks Never Give Up! is a great place for resources on RA and a way to help raise awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune diseases.

Lastly, I'd have to say thank you to Suzie Edward May for writing her book Arthritis, Pregnancy and the Path to Parenthood. It's the only book of it kinds and it has been a major support in my path to trying to become a parent with JRA. It's a reminder that we don't have to give up on our dreams simply because we are living with this disease.

  1. I think you did an awesome job with this. I could go for some lemonade right now, actually! And I don't think I've seen the RA Chicks website before so I'm going to check it out! Thanks! ~;o)
