Bean's getting bigger...

Bean's left foot 28 weeks, 4 days
So we went for our monthly check-up on Monday and then had the ultrasound to check for low birth weight on Tuesday and all is well! Bean is doing great and is actually about a week ahead of schedule and is in the 54% for weight...which made my high risk specialist very happy. Now we just wait another month for another check-up, then as part of the high risk precautions, I'll start going twice a week to the doctor's office to be hooked up to a fetal heart monitor so they can listen to the baby's heartbeat for 20 minutes to make sure it stays nice and strong. They may do an ultrasound as well, so we'll be seeing Bean a lot more.

I also had to start a kick chart to record how long it takes Bean to kick/move 10 times. Basically, I pick a time during the day when I feel Bean is most active, wait for a kick or movement, make note of what time it is and then after 10 kicks/movements I make a note of how much time has past. The chart is broken down in increments of 10...10, 20, 30, 40 minutes, all the way to 2 hours. So far Bean hasn't even taken 10 minutes! I start counting and within 5 minutes I'm already past 10. Talk about wiggle worm! :) It can be uncomfortable at times, but exciting as well to know that everything is going well and maybe Bean will be healthy like Daddy and just get Mommy's eyes or hair color and not a giant medical file. hee hee
