Things are going pretty well all around. My JRA has been acting up here and there, but I'm getting by. I visited my Rheumatologist at the beginning of the month and he gave me a shot of Depo-Medrol. Unfortunately, my NSAID's weren't getting the job done and I felt like I needed a little extra help. I felt like I'd been hit by a bus for about 2 days after the injection, but I think it gradually helped a bit. My wrists and elbows are giving me trouble more than anything right now and my right elbow has started popping...a lot! It only happens when I'm holding Jimmy, so I'm thinking it's because I'm not used to carrying so much weight around...16+ pounds is a lot for my puny little arms! Some days are better than others, but the first night it set in, I felt like I was about to drop Jimmy because the pain was so bad...luckily my husband was with us, so everything was fine, but now I'm overly aware of how they're feeling. So for now I'm trying to rest my arms as much as possible to see if it will help. I've also starting taking Jimmy for walks every afternoon and I feel like it's helping my legs. They haven't been quite as achy and stiff, so hopefully that will improve with time as well. Go figure...exercise a little and I might just feel a little better...and flatten my baby belly a little too. :)
We're meeting with our fertility specialist this Wednesday to talk about trying for baby #2! Some days I think we're crazy for trying again so soon, but then I remember how much love and support we have and the idea doesn't seem so bad. Plus, the sooner we get through the whole baby, diaper changing, carry me everywhere stage, the easier things will be for me. We want to aim for a delivery date in April or May of next year, so we're figuring we'll have to get started soon. Not looking forward to going through all of the shots and pills again, but it will all be worth it in the end. :)
Jimmy's doing great as well! He's growing up so fast...I feel like he's almost through the baby phase already. He sits up on his own with out any support, is getting so close to crawling and loves standing up as much as possible. He has his own little personality now too and knows what he likes and doesn't like and isn't afraid to let you know it. We starting giving him baby food about a month ago and luckily he'll eat anything you give him. He's still having trouble with spitting up, but it's much better than it was just a month ago. I feel like such a proud Mama! :)
