For some reason insomnia has kicked in over the last few nights & tonight is no exception. I go from trying not to fall asleep while I eat dinner, to waking up at 2:00a.m. with the theme song from Weeds playing over & over in my head. But sadly it's only one line from the theme song because it's the only one that seems to stick. "There’s a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one and they’re all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same." And sometimes I get the colors out of order & have to start all over again...you know, just to drive myself a little more over the edge. Ugh! I love Malvina Reynolds & all, but right now I'd love a little sleep.
I even found an excuse to wake up my husband in the hopes that he would be able to solve the problem. You know, rub my head, scratch my back or if I was really lucky, just lay here & have a little chat. But unfortunately he didn't think our room was too hot, turned over & started snoring again. Oh well, considering he has to be up in 3 hours, I guess I should find my own source of entertainment. Hence, this entry & my love for my iPhone. Journal entries, movies, games, all in a little package & perfect for nights like this.
I hope everyone is sleeping soundly & has a wonderful day when they wake up. As for me, I think there's a game of backgammon with my name written all over it.
