So much excitement..

We're off and running again! I started my period last week, we met with our doctor and I'm back on FET meds to prep for baby #2! Not sure why really, but this time things are moving much faster and with fewer meds for now. Every night I take a Baby Aspirin and Dexamethasone and every third night I add a shot of Estradiol. We're basically just trying to thicken the lining of my uterus to prep for the embryos. I stopped taking my Nabumetone as well and started taking Prednisone again for my JRA. Not excited about being on Prednisone again, but it's only 1mg and it's safer, so I can't complain much.

June 26th we'll have another ultrasound to make sure everything is progressing as expected and add a few meds to the list, July 2nd we'll transfer 2 embryos and on July 14th we'll find out if I'm pregnant or not. Crazy to think I could be pregnant again in less than two weeks and possibly with twins! I've been feeling a bit off since starting all of the different meds, but nothing too extreme. The Prednisone has caused a little insomnia and the munchies have kicked in already and I'm having a tiny bit of cramping from the FET meds, but other than that I'm fine...which is great considering my hubby and baby have been sick with the flu. Somehow I managed to get away with just a sore throat for 2 days and now feel fine...whew!

Aside from having the flu, Jimmy has been doing great and even started crawling! He's been rolling around and crawling backwards for a little while, but finally decided to start crawling forward last week...guess it's time to start child proofing. Because of my JRA, I'm not able to lay Jimmy on the floor, but for now he's content with crawling on my bed and is easily distracted by other activities when it's just him and I. Luckily he has Grandparents that visit almost every day and are willing to crawl with him on the floor as much as he wants, so that's been a big help. I'm so proud of him and look forward to the day he starts pulling himself up and can walk...then he can play on the floor all day if he wants too, but I'm sure he'll be more excited to have me chase him everywhere instead. :)

  2. Kerry - Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering if you'd had your baby and how you were doing. I love the name Emily...such a sweet name. Smart to have meds on hand, but don't think about flaring at all...you'll just jinx it. :) Just relax as much as possible and enjoy every minute with your baby girl. Thanks for the well wishes...transfer day is getting close! Congrats again and keep me updated on how things are going.
