Rough couple of weeks...

"I miss my body." With a laugh my husband asked, "Did you think you'd ever say that?" He was right, those were words I never thought I'd say, but it's true. My JRA has never been easy or fun to deal with, but in its own way it's predictable and manageable...being pregnant on the other hand, your body is no longer your own. Nausea and heartburn are a constant nuisance, the baby kicks and punches everything at all hours of the day and night and as minor as it sounds, maternity clothes suck!

Don't get me wrong, I feel beyond blessed that I have my son and another baby on the way, but some days I can't wait to get this pregnancy over with. I had horrible heartburn for about 3 weeks and sleepless nights from the volcano erupting in my throat were getting to me. JRA flares from having to lay on a wedge on my left side all night made the whole situation even worse. After a few meltdowns I gave in and emailed my doctor. Luckily he recommended a new regiment of heartburn pills and the last week has been more bearable. I'm finally sleeping through the night and my JRA has calmed down again...and being pregnant doesn't seem so bad again. I'm still counting down the days though. :D

As for Baby #2, all is well! Everything is progressing as expected and we finally set the date for my C-Section...Baby #2 will be here March 12th around 6p.m...we can't wait! For now the baby is breach, but since I'm having a C-Section, it ultimately doesn't matter. I'm just happy the baby is healthy and even though I complain from time to time, I'm grateful that this pregnancy has gone so well and has passed by so quickly.

  1. March 12th is very soon! How exciting! My son was breach as well, but with the C-section you are right - it doesn't much matter! So very excited for you!! Hang in there!!

  2. Thanks Mariah! Doing my best. Having very restless nights again, but trying some new things that will hopefully help. Hope all is well with you!
